Chef Charlie Palmer Presents Aureole’s 1st Annual “Oyster Social”

Next Sunday, September 23, Chef Charlie Palmer will be opening Aureole’s outdoor plaza (Anita’s Way) for the 1st Annual “Oyster Social” benefitting Citymeals-on-Wheels.

Attendees will enjoy endless oysters and Gulf Coast seafood creations paired with Complexity – New Zealand Fine Wines, Purity Vodka Bloody Marys, Sierra Nevada beers and Louis Roederer Champagne, all while taking in the sounds of local bluegrass bands.  Chef Palmer will be on hand to mingle with guests, shuck some oysters and spread the word about a great cause.

Official Opening of Pat LaFrieda’s Original Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich at the NY Mets’ Citi Field

This past Sunday was a perfect September day to take in a baseball game.  The sun was shining and the temperature was warm.  And it was an even better day to eat a few of the most outrageous filet mignon steak sandwiches around.  Our friend Pat LaFrieda of Pat LaFrieda Wholesale Meat Purveyors invited us to attend the Mets’ game.  It was also the official opening of his brand new food stand inside Citi Field, Pat LaFrieda’s Original Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich.
