Saveur Magazine’s 3rd Annual Summer BBQ (#SaveurBBQ)
Summertime is the perfect time for cooking outdoors. And Saveur Magazine celebrates the outdoor cooking tradition with their annual Summer BBQ. This year’s event brought celebrity chefs from NYC and beyond to the 79th Street Boat Basin on NYC’s West Side. The chefs were masters of the grill preparing dishes as traditional as a grilled steak to the whimsical creation of Francois Payard and his grilled marshmallows. The fare at the grillfest was topnotch and we were lucky enough to partake.
Chef Seamus Mullen’s Book (“Hero Food”) Launch Party
It’s not everyday, you get to celebrate the release of a new cookbook with an awesome chef like Seamus Mullen of Tertulia. This was the case last night. We attended Seamus’ party at Tertulia with our great friend Mike Colicchio. We enjoyed a plethora of sangria and Spanish tapas. The paella was absolutely phenomenal. Tertulia is one of those places that you’d be remiss in not dining at at least once. Seamus’ book “Hero Food” is a beautifully written and thoughtful cookbook. It’s a book that every home cook and chef should have in their library and refer to often. We do!
