The festival has been around for 8 years, and to be honest, none of us had attended a past one, although we’ve always heard great things. So we were anxious & excited when Saturday, September 8 rolled around.

For those of you out there that are meat lovers and have never heard of Meatopia, you are sorely deprived. Meatopia which is considered the “Woodstock of Edible Animals” is the brainchild of our friend Josh Ozersky (www.ozersky.tv). This year’s festivities will be taking place on Saturday, September 8 on Randall’s Island in NYC and promises to be the biggest and baddest Meatopia, yet!

Chef Seamus Mullen’s Book (“Hero Food”) Launch Party
It’s not everyday, you get to celebrate the release of a new cookbook with an awesome chef like Seamus Mullen of Tertulia. This was the case last night. We attended Seamus’ party at Tertulia with our great friend Mike Colicchio. We enjoyed a plethora of sangria and Spanish tapas. The paella was absolutely phenomenal. Tertulia is one of those places that you’d be remiss in not dining at at least once. Seamus’ book “Hero Food” is a beautifully written and thoughtful cookbook. It’s a book that every home cook and chef should have in their library and refer to often. We do!
